| On
a musical note, this gathering of cajun and the blues on these nights
will be magic. They will become folklore of Grand County music. This
is a group
on the road together because of a cause. The line-up is one you could
have only seen in a dream trip to Louisana, The chance of ever seeing
this show again is to small to measure. With all the feelings that will
explode on our stages I anticipate history.

People
helping people " Tab Benoit speaks these words often. October 7th
and 8th came down to just that. We banded together to celebrate a promise
kept. We came together to help people in need. All of the music we were
treated to, came from the heart of Louisana and that heart is forever
going to beat in the memories that were created.
Thanks to all the people who donated to this great event. Thanks to
all our guests from all over the U.S. I know the musicians were moved
by all the generousity and love we gave them. Most of all we gave them
hope, that was the greatest gift we could have given. The hard times
are going to be
here for awhile and we know that, but with hope in a heart nothing is
impossible to overcome.

To all the people of Lousiana, we are still with you and you will
know this. Our music lives with you and in you. All of you should
be proud of your culture and continue to make the hard work fun. Thats
what Tab and the Lousiana Allstars taught us this weekend. Let the
good times return. God
Bless Lousiana!
The
Grand County Blues Society , The Inn at SilverCreek and Headwaters
Golf Club are excited to let all of you know that we have raised over
10,000 dollars during the Tab Benoit Classic. The final numbers are
not in
and we will adjust the total as we get thru all the donations. We
would also like to note that another local group of musicians and
friends raised and donated over 4,000 dollars, the town of Granby
donated 2,000 dollars and KCMV donated 1,700 dollars. The efforts
of so many have made all this possible. The Voice of the Wetlands Relief Fund will be giving us
updates on their progress. Please be supportive and patient of this
group as they begin this mission of mercy.

WHY |
Very
obvious now! The people of Louisianna need our help.
Why
a benefit in Colorado for Louisianna? Because this is a national
issue. We need to help build awareness nationally.
The
Louisianna wetlands are America's wetlands because they provide
30% of the nation's seafood production. And are a conduit for 30%
of the nation's energy needs.
The
loss is over a football field every 40 minutes, or in other terms,
a staggering 30 square miles a year. |

VOICE OF THE WETLANDS
|
VOW is an organization that is
the voice of those people who look beyond the nationally recognized products
of America's Wetlands. While the national media and government acknowledges
that Louisiana's Wetlands are directly responsible for most of the gas
and oil industry and the nation's seafood industry, it is VOW's wish to
make clear the direct effect the declining wetlands has on its people,
heritage, and way of life for one of the richest states in tradition and
cultures in all of the world. The music, food, coastlines, wildlife, fish,
game, and everything else that makes Louisiana a unique and original state
is in desperate need of America's attention and support. The industries
that Louisianans have built their livelihoods on and have raised their
families on now perfected to pass down to their children and children's
children are being poisoned and are being left for ruin.
